Crackle Finish Melting Wall Clocks

Crackle finish clocks are made by applying a base coat of paint, a layer of crackle medium, followed by a topcoat of paint. The clocks are finished with several coats of lacquer for a high gloss durable surface. I have found that dark base coats and lighter top coats look the best. Crackle medium is very unpredictable so I can not guarantee the size of the crackles. Metallic topcoats produce very minimal crackles.
